Yes, you can give cetirizine as needed. Be aware that if you use it constantly there is a chance he will become tolerant to it and will no longer work. There is no age limit for Cetrizine in dogs; however, it is given based on the weight of your pet so please ask your vet what the appropriate dose would be for Pepper. You can use it on puppies. However, it doesn't have much drowsy effects, so it may not work as well as you are hoping for the puppy. Yes, you can use either one of those antihistamines. For loratidine you can give 10mg (1 tablet) for Cetirizine you can give 20mg (2 tablets). If after one dose she is not better you should have Bonnie examined by your vet.

Hello. If the Cetirizine seems to be helping, then continue as needed. This is very much an allergic reaction & you might want to consider switching her diet to one that addresses sensitive skin & stomach issues ( Science Diet makes one ). I would also start a good fish oil supplement as high levels of omega 3 fatty acids can decrease the body's sensitivity to allergens.
