My 4 month old puppy's belly gets extremely hot to the touch. He is utd on all shots ans nuetered. What could be the cause of this?

It possible that your puppy could have a fever. You can take his temperature rectally with a digital quick-read thermometer if you want to find out for sure - just put a small amount of K-Y Jelly or other water-based lubricant on the tip, and insert it about 2-3 cm into the rectum. Normal temperature for a puppy is anywhere from 37.5 to 39 degrees Celsius. If the reading is higher than that, this indicates that he has a fever and should be examined by a vet to determine the cause.
