My puppy ate something sticky/chewy. What should I do or look for?

These seem like they would be pretty digestible, so I wouldn't be particularly concerned. If the chew was lodged in the esophagus I expect you would notice coughing, gagging or regurgitation. You should still monitor Marvin for those signs and for any vomiting, decreased appetite or diarrhea.

Ideally, the cheese and wrapper will pass without complications but if the wrapper is big enough, it may become such and cause an obstruction. It looks like some sort of linear object possibly a stick or piece of rubber. You would need to wash the faeces off it and describe the texture and weight of the object for me to be more specific. Do you know of anything the puppy may have eaten? If the pup is in good form, eating and drinking normally, I wouldn't panic at the moment. Puppies do eat things they shouldn't and as long as it passes through without doing any harm that's the important thing. Of course there could me more of whatever this is still inside, so be really vigilant the next few days. If you notice Eclipse being dull, going off food, vomiting, passing diarrhoea or not going to the toilet, then head straight to the vet. You may wish to take her in for a check up anyway so the vet can feel her tummy and ensure all is okay.

Unfortunately, vomiting up a foreign body can only be done if the item was consumed in the past two hours, and given that you aren't sure when your pup ate your pillowcase, it may be too late to induce vomiting. There's nothing you can do to make her pass it quicker, and I would caution against using any human medications without veterinary approval or using a method you find on the internet as you may do harm to your pup. You can try giving her a slice of whole wheat bread now, and with every meal to form a ball of ingesta around the pillowcase to help cushion it as is passes through her GI tract. You can feed this piece of bread to her with every meal. I would monitor her for the next 72 hours of signs of obstruction, which include vomiting, diarrhea, anorexia, lethargy, and constipation. Should you see any of those signs, please take her into the vet immediately. When you leave the house, I would recommend putting her in a crate, as that will keep her from getting into things while you are gone.

Good question. Look for tremors, drooling, constricted pupils, diarrhea, seizures, and an increased heart rate. Typically symptoms of nicotine poisoning occur within one hour of ingestion, but I'd watch him tonight to be safe.
