Why is my male dog aggressive towards my sick female dog with cancer?

I have my female and she was recently diagnosed with lymphoma and she is ten and my male has becoming increasingly aggressive towards her, what is up with this and i am concerned

Unfortunately this is not unusual and it could happen as often dogs fail to show and read properly body language and facial expressions between each other when one of them is sick. Do not leave them unattended together as that could result in more and more aggression episodes. Unfortunately there is not much you can do a part from monitor them closely.
