Pet's info: Dog | Cavalier King Charles Spaniel | Female | spayed | 5 years and 3 months old | 17 lbs
I heard that your dog should get one gram of protein per pound of body weight. I did the math and the food that she's on now (20% protein) she would get about 12-13 grams and she weighs 17 pounds. Is this ok? There is another food called Merrick that if I fed her that she would get about 16 grams of protein. (it's 25% protein) Would that be a better option? Why or why not? (She's not an active dog.)
