My old chihuahua has vaginal bleeding and won't eat. What to do?

It sounds as Chloe is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking her to the vet the first chance you get, she will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection she will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better. if the vet thinks it is more serious she will need a blood test and possibly an ultrasound in order to find out what is wrong.

Has she been in heat recently? At her age with not being spayed I would worry about thisbdisxharge being from the uterus and her having an uterine infection. This can be an emergency that typically requires surgery. Often times they are weak, drinking more water, vomiting and not eating. Other options include a bladder infection which will need antibiotics. Your vet can distguish between the two and see what is needed

Princess likely is suffering from a urinary tract infection or possibly bladder stones, or other condition that causes bleeding of the urinary tract. This may be very painful. You will need to take Princess to a veterinarian for an exam and urinalysis. Your vet may also want to take radiographs to rule out bladderstones. She will need prescription antibiotics, pain medicine, and other treatment depending on the diagnosis. Please check her gums, and should they be white or very pale in colour, she will need to be seen by a vet right away.

If left untreated, it may become a very serious condition, so please try and get Lacey seen by your local vets as soon as possible. If it is uterine infection, you will have to get Lacey neutered, as this is the only reliable treatment for pyometra.

I am very concerned that Willow may have pyometra (an infection in her uterus). This type of infection can be life-threatening and typically requires surgery to remove the uterus which is the source of the infection. I would recommend taking her to your vet right away so she can be evaluated for this disease.

If your elderly dog has vaginal bleeding you should have her seen by a veterinarian as soon as possible because that is not normal. If she has not been spayed it could be a sign of a uterus infection called pyometra which can be fatal if not treated immediately. Also it could be possible that she has blood in her urine which could be a sign of a urinary tract infection or possibly stones. Hi there. If Izzy has never had any vaginal discharge during her heat cycles previously, that's very odd. I would be concerned that what you are seeing now may indicated a pyometra (uterine infection), as this is a common cause of vaginal discharge in middle-aged and older intact females. If she does have a pyometra, this is a serious problem that can be life-threatening - so I would recommend taking her to the vet today for an exam to find out for sure what's going on.
