My bulldog has a UTI. Can I give him cat cranberry for weak stream?

Fortunately nothing in this list is dangerous for him even in high amounts, as far as this goes he should be fine, he might suffer from some diarrhea or vomiting but nothing serious. regarding the UTI though, this product will probably not solve the condition, you will have to take him to the vet in order to have a course of antibiotics.

I'm so sorry Belle is having urinary tract infection problems. I have not used Might Petz Max Cranberry, but am unsure why it has cranberry seed oil instead of dried cranberry extract in it. There is evidence to suggest that dried cranberry extract is of benefit in preventing urinary tract infections caused from E. coli bacteria, but it does not seem to be because of the pH. Most often, the bacteria increase the pH of the urine and getting rid of the infection will decrease the pH back to normal. However, I do recommend urinary tract supplements for dogs with recurrent urinary tract infections, so I would ask your vet for a recommendation for a cranberry supplement. If there is not a current infection and an infection was just treated, you can use cranberry supplementation to help maintain urinary tract health. Azo tablets have been show to potentially cause methemoglobulinemia in dogs and cats and should not be given. It also can cause a dry eye condition in dogs. I would recommend not giving this to Eve. There are pet formulated cranberry tablets that you can purchase from your veterinarian (if available) or through your local pet store.

I recommend you have Cali seen by a veterinarian as soon as possible. Cali 's symptoms could also be due to a urinary tract infection, an infection of the external genitalia, crystals in the urine, stones in the urinary tract, or trauma to the area. Your vet will likely want to test some of Cali's urine to see if there is an infection and to begin treatment as needed. If you notice her straining to urinate/unable to produce urine, this is a medical emergency and she should be seen by a vet immediately. I don't recommend you give cranberries, cranberry juice, or cranberry pills without first consulting with your vet, as this can alter the pH of her urine, and a change in pH can sometimes lead to crystals or stones in the urine.

Dosage would depend on weight (so please indicate it in a further post). Poor girl. It sounds like a biopsy is needed here but you should be able to do this safely by having her either intubated or placed on an oxygen mask during this procedure to ensure her breathing is controlled well and this significantly minimizes the chance of complications arising. So basically the vet can use propofol (an induction agent) to sedate her and then just intubate her until the procedure is done. You can also request that a board certified ultrasonographer do a scan first and get samples if it is still unclear as to the final diagnosis here. I am sorry to say but a bladder tumor is high on the list of possible causes for her bloody urine and non-resolved UTI at this point. Poor girl. I hope everything works out for your pet Nellie.
