My dog has strange spots. What could they be and does he need a vet?

Found these spots on my dog. Not sure what spots are these? Not sure if there is something I can do or he needs a vet?

Those spots on Happy’s back could be many things. If they are raised, more like a tumor, then I would recommend to have him seen by the veterinarian who may collect a small sample of cells to know if it is concerning or not. If they are flat, then you may monitor them at this time to see if they go away on their own. Dogs can get superficial bacterial infections, small wounds, ringworm (which humans can get as well) and other minor ailments that will often heal by themselves. If the spots do not go away within two weeks or if they get worse, then plan on having him seen by the veterinarian. I can't tell from the photo if that is a scab or an area of skin discoloration. I recommend to have him examined by the veterinarian to be safe. If that is something like a bruise, that is extremely worrisome. A scab could indicate something like an infection or a hot spot. Best to play it safe and have this checked out. I hope this helps.

Those look like infections on Honey. Generally they are bacterial but ringworm (which humans can get) is possible. If they are in fact bacterial, many times the body will clear them up on its own. If it does not go away or gets worse (or Honey is itchy) take her into the vet. Sometimes dogs just get these infections. Other times it indicates allergies or endocrine disorders. My dog has a spot on her chest that doesn't bother her. Is it serious?

It’s hard for me to tell from your picture if this is raised. If so, it could be a skin mass like a histiocytoma or cyst. If it is flat it could be a small hot spot or area of skin infection. I’d recommend having your vet examine it in person for a definitive diagnosis.

What are these tiny black marks on my dog's belly? Are they serious?

Hello and thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. It is always very hard to make diagnosis by looking at pictures. I suspect that the black dots are small wounds from insect bites or self-inflicted trauma, if Happy has been licking and biting herself excessively. Please, use a soothing oatmeal dog shampoo for Happy and 2-3 days later apply a good quality flea product. If that doesn't help, you should take her to your local vets to check her over.

My dog has a spot on his lip. Is it serious enough for a vet?

This looks to be a histiocytoma. I don't think he needs a vet visit just yet. Often these will go away on their own. I would only be worried if it doesn't go away in a month or so OR if it grows larger OR if it starts to bother him. Should I worry about my dog's dark, flat, non-itchy skin spots?

However, continue to monitor them closely because sometimes skin cancer such as melanoma can start like that. If these ever become raised or seem to bother him or appear to be spreading, have him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. My dog has a strange spot on her skin. What could it be?

The picture makes it difficult to see. It's possible it may be a scab trying to heal, a minorly infected area of skin, or a wart/growth forming. It would be best to keep the area clean and dry and keep Belle from licking or chewing at the spot. If the area continues to change in appearance, is bothersome to Belle is hot to the touch, painful, or oozing debris, or doesn't seem to be healing, it is best to seek veterinary care in person. Your vet can take a look at and sample of the spot as needed and provide more tailored treatments depending on the cause.
