My puppy spit out a snail after deworming. Is it lungworm? What now?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 1 month and 12 days old

I had done dewarming to my dog which is 1 months old puppy, within a five day of dewarming I found a lungworm like snail out from his mouth. What do I want to do now... People of my locality where saying that it will kill my puppy within few days. Kindly help me out with your valuable suggestion.

What you saw is not a lungworm, you saw a snail/slug that could potentially carry a lungworm. it takes several months for this worm to develop so even if he got infested it can still be treated with Ivermectin or Advocate spot on for example.
