Hi, Duchess was only spayed yesterday, however the vet was not informative to any questions I had to ask, in fact they couldn't get rid of me fast enough. In terms of taking care of the spayed wound site is there anything I can put on it to keep the flies away? And any tips you as a vet have to help my dog heal properly? I will appreciate it.

Stitches look ok. You should cover the incision, best put a t-shirt on her, so thee flies do not get to the wound. That is better than spraying fly spray. There is no need to betadine on the wound. Give all the medications your vet prescribed.and keep the e-collar on her. All will be perfect
