The picture is not clear enough to see exactly what is going on with Eli's skin. I would recommend a veterinarian because it may be a hotspot starting which can get drastically worse very quickly. I suspect that Jackson is suffering from an allergy (environmental, dietary or immune mediated). I would recommend starting him on a food such as Royal Canin Ultamino (prescription required) and feed this for at least 4 weeks to see if this makes a difference. I would also consider the below products (which can be found online quite easily) to see if they help reduce the skin problem you are seeing. He may have a condition known as atopic dermatitis and may require a medication such as cyclosporine or cytopoint to reduce the symptoms. Bacteria likes to invade skin that is inflamed and a small infection will develop. I would recommend taking Pepper to you vet for an exam and skin testing. It appears to be superficial but I cannot see the rest of the body and if other parts of the body are affected. If this is just isolated to the abdomen and is not worsening, I would try these things first. If no improvement or the condition worsens, I would take her in to be seen by a veterinarian as she may need oral antibiotics in addition to topical therapy. I hope this helps! 1. The one on her stomach looks like a collarette. these can occur secondary to an infection from allergies or getting scratched or bitten by something that cause irritation. The ones on her back are small scabs/pustules. These do benefit from antibiotics along with a medicated shampoo. You can give a bath once a week to help keep the coat and skin rinsed and cleaned.
