My dog has a skin reaction. What can I do to help her stop licking?

Poor Tardis! I would try to use a cortisone or Benadryl spray on the area and put an cone collar on her to prevent the licking. You can also give her oral Benadryl if needed for itching. Hi there. First make sure Ralphue is on appropriate flea preventative, as many flea bite allergies will present like this. An allergic reaction to the spray is also possible-as if is a new substance that has been introduced to his body. You can give her an antihistamine tablet. This is probably an allergic reaction due to an insect bite or a plant outside. those reactions tend to resolve within 48 hours without treatment. if the swelling becomes too large or if Arturo is lethargic, take her to the vet in order to get an antihistamine injection.
