My dog is shaking severely. When should I see an emergency vet?

It seems like Jelly is having some sort of neurological problem that has been causing these signs. It's difficult to know how serious this is without seeing him, but uncontrollable shaking is concerning enough to warrant a visit to the vet tonight. It sounds like she is in pain. She could have a problem with her neck or back causing the pain. Since she is otherwise acting normal, it might not be an emergency but taking her to the emergency clinic tonight would give her some relief and make her feel a lot better. She may need an anti-inflammatory, pain medications, and a muscle relaxer. Hope she feels better soon!

These symptoms could have a wide range of causes, including fear, anxiety, pain, nausea, diarrhea, organ failure, etc. I would recommend watching Loki for the next 12-24 hours. If additional symptoms develop, if she isn't back to normal tomorrow, or if you are concerned she is getting rapidly worse, she should definitely get examined by a vet.

I'm sorry Paws isn't doing well at the moment! I would try offering him water. Give him a chance to drink the water, I would keep offering it to him over an hour. If he refuses to drink the water, or he drinks the water and then vomits it up, then I would take him into the ER vet. It's a pretty serious sign when a dog won't drink water or can't keep it down, and in cases like that, it's best for them to see a vet right away. Should he drink the water and keep it down, then it's fine to wait until the morning to take him into the vet. Continue to monitor him tonight, and if Paws becomes very lethargic, the shaking gets worse, he starts vomiting, or he shows any other signs of illness, then take him into an ER vet right away. Jade sounds very sick, and it could be she has something serious like a pyometra. A pyometra is an infection of the uterus that is fatal without treatment. She needs to see a vet now. Please take her into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website.

Poor Bow. These symptoms suggest that she either has anxiety from something that scared her or she is having a sudden pain response from somewhere in her body. If the panting episode is continuous and seems labored, she has dulled responses, +/- white or pale gums, or if she seems to be in pain, then I would rush her to the ER vet to have her looked over. However if she is alert, has a normal mentation (aware of her surroundings), panting and shaking are intermittent and not continuous, and if she slowly improves over the next hour as you try to slowly coax her out of her hiding spot, then I would wait it to until morning. Especially if she has a history of anxiety or a recent event (i.e. Thunderstorms, guests over, loud noises, etc) can be seen as a possible cause for her current state. I hope your fur baby is able to make a full and speedy recovery. Hopefully she just got spooked and will return to her normal self after she has time to settle down. Best wishes.

Poor Lucky! It does sound like he's feeling pretty uncomfortable or may be in some pain. It's good that you have a vet appointment scheduled for him already. I would keep an eye on him and make sure he has a place he can rest and relax without being bothered, along with access to food and water. If he shows any obvious signs of illness (vomiting, limping, unable to stand or go potty on his own, diarrhea, tender abdomen, specific pain, etc) or he worsens before your appointment, getting him into an ER vet sooner would be best.
