My 6-month-old dog is scratching himself raw. What should I do?

Hello My 6 month old dog has been extremely itchy I cannot figure out what it is other than he’s scratching to the point of bleeding now

Poor Ekko. I would certainly try some oral benadryl every 8 hours if you haven't already. See link below. I would also give him a claming bath in an oatmeal shampoo. I really like duoxo calm or dechra's dermallay. I would also make sure he is on a high quality flea preventative. Your vet can give you some recommendations of what works best in your area. Finally, since he is bleeding, I would have your vet take a look at him. There is a good chance that he may need oral antibiotics, a topical treatment, and possibly stronger allergy meds like apoquel or a steroid. I hope this helps and he starts to feel better soon!
