Why does my dog have red rings and bugs on her skin from the woods?

It is possible this is an insect bite. Fly bites in particular can look like a red ring with a central pallor (pale area in the middle). It is tough to tell from the photo what the central area looks like. If it is raised and looks like it is filled with yellow/pus, then this could be a pustule which is a sign of skin infection. If the center is flat with the skin and just pale in color, then a bug bite is more likely.

It looks like she has a pyoderma which is a skin infection. She should be examined and treated by your vet as she may need an antibiotic to treat the condition. In the meantime, you could bathe her with a medicated shampoo, like Douxo Chlorhexidine shampoo.

Ring worm is a possibility and is contagious to both people and other animals. There is no way to be certain from the photos. Your vet can check it with a woods lamp to see if it reacts or do a culture to confirm it. It may be a reaction from a tick or allergy that is also causing those spots You can try to keep the spot clean and apply a topical antifubgal until you get the seen to be safe

The most common reason that we see red circular rashes in dogs are actually bacterial skin infection. Tick bites rarely cause red circular rashes in dogs (it's more common in people). Ringworm certainly can cause a circular rash, but they often aren't red in dogs. I would recommend having your vet examine Chance and determine what they think is going on. They may be able to tell by looking at it, or they may need to do some special skin tests like skin scrapings or skin cytology in order to determine the best treatment for Chance. Daisy may be having an allergic reaction. Allergies can be to contact with a substance, fleas, food or environmental. Sometimes dogs can get a random infection. I would search her closely for fleas. Topical flea products can still allow fleas to live long enough to cause a reaction. Oral flea products are much better because the fleas die faster. Otherwise, I would take her into the vet for treatment (since it sounds like she has many lesions). Likely these are bacterial in nature but they are circular so ringworm (which humans can get) is always a potential. Once treatment is completed, watch Daisy for reoccurrence. If it comes back, then you start looking more closely at allergies. I hope this helps.

The pictures are too blurry and not close up enough for me to tell exactly what you are talking about. If they are ticks they will have legs if you look closely. If you see ticks you can remove them. If you are not sure how to do that you can watch YouTube videos on how to do it properly. Red mange (or demodecosis) is unlikely in a dog this age unless she is very immunocompromised or stressed. If she didn't have it as a puppy then she is unlikely to have it now. There is no way to tell if it is mange for sure without a deep skin scraping. I honestly think the most likely thing going on is a bacterial skin infection. If you are unsure of what is going on you can always take her to your vet for an exam. I would recommend having Misty checked out by the vet. It could be fly bites, but some of the pictures almost look like bruising, which could be caused by bleeding or autoimmune disorders. Your local vet will be most familiar with biting insects and pests to determine if this is a cause.
