My dog has red patchy skin and bumps on her belly and chest?

My dog has red patchy skin with small red bumps all around her Sani area going up to her chest, what can that be?

This is probably caused by an allergic reaction. first of all make sure you de-flea Cali regularly every month with a high quality spot on (ex. Advantage) as fleas are by far the most common reason for these reactions. If the fleas are not the problem, it could be an allergic reaction to food or an environmental factor. this is more complicated to treat and will sometimes require medications such as Steroids, anti histamines or Apoquel in order to stop the allergy.

The images posted are very distorted so I am unable to see the actual skin lesions. I believe it is how you uploaded the images perhaps. However, if you are seeing pustules on her skin, this indicates a bacterial infection and just needs to be treated with antibiotics. Dogs get skin infections for several reasons including: skin allergies, contact dermatitis (touching something that reacts with the skin), and flea allergies. I would recommend continuing with flea prevention every month, although Frontline is not my first choice because of efficacy issues. I would recommend a higher quality flea preventattive such as Bravecto, Nexgard, Simparica or Comfortis. Then get Bella seen by your vet soon to have this secondary skin infection treated and any underlying allergy she may have.

What are these red bumps on my 9-month-old dog's belly and face?

This looks like an allergic reaction to something or general allergies. Make sure he is on a good veterinary prescribed flea control. You can try to shampoo him in a chlorhexidine shampoo to help heal the red bumps. You can also Give him 75 mg (3 adult) Benadryl to help with any itching. If he isn't itching and/or the bumps aren't improving, I would contact your vet for an exam to ensure he doesn't need a stronger allergy medicine or antibiotics. I hope this helps!
