My dog had a red bump on her neck that grew then vanished. What now?

my chihuahua had a red bump on her neck and it was growing and about two weeks later it is gone when I checked it again what should I do

If the bump was there, but is now gone, it may be that Bella had a minor allergic reaction to something, or had a scratch that healed up. Bumps and scrapes can turn red and scab, and may swell some if there is a skin infection underneath. If the bump went away, but then returned, or is growing/changing in size, it may be best to have a vet take a look. Returning bumps could indicate an allergy to something in the environment or diet, skin infections from bacteria, fungus or yeast, or even external parasites biting the skin.
