Why does my dog keep getting scabs on his belly that heal fast?

That spot on Buddy could be several things including allergies, skin mites, ringworm (which humans can get) or a bacterial infection. You can try adding in an omega 3 fatty acid supplement for dogs, this can help improve the skin health. You may also try changing his diet to something like Royal Canin or Nutro as they are aimed at skin health. You can wash the lesion with soap once a day and rinse well (don't wash his whole body, just the spot). Protect the area from licking or scratching. If it doesn't start looking better within about a week or if they get worse, have him examined by the veterinarian who may prescribe medications. This looks like it is most likely an infection in the skin. It is very common to start out red and crusty like this. The black spots are usually a reaction to irritation and the skin gets more pigment. Most of the time, infections in the skin are secondary to allergies or anything else that causes inflammation in the skin. I would recommend an evaluation by a veterinarian and a skin scraping. The skin scraping will look for mites, yeast and bacteria. This way, the veterinarian can choose the right type of treatment. Often, these infections need to be treated with oral medication. First of all, in order to rule out skin parasites, you will need to treat with a high quality flea treatment, then ask the vet to perform a skin scrape - this might reveal an infection or a mite infestation. If all of those came back negative, the next step is to treat the allergy symptomatically and try to discover the cause of the allergy. Three main type of allergies are usually affecting pets: food allergies, flea and parasite related ones and environmental type (allergens coming from trees, pollens, dust etc etc). Some medications can be given by the vet in order to repair any possible skin lesions (like steroids and antibiotics). This lesion could indicate a local bacteria infection, possibly ringworm, an insect bite, or just an area of rotation of unknown cause. You could continue to monitor if you feel comfortable and if it does not go away within a few days I would reconsider seeing your veterinarian to ensure it's nothing contagious like ringworm. However if it starts to grow, bleed, become raised, or seems painful it should be seen sooner. In the meantime you could consider cleaning it with a very mild soap and warm water and keeping it clean and dry during the day. As there is a possibility it could be ringworm wash your hands thoroughly after handling the site.

This can be caused by various reasons such as fleas, mites ,fungal infection, bacterial infection and allergies. the first 4 needs to be ruled out before we start treating for allergies. in order to do that first de-flea Pistol with a high quality flea treatment such as advantage spot on, if it doesn't help - take him to the vet in order to check for/treat the other possibilities. If everything is ruled out, then an allergy treatment can be started. Usually an hypoallergenic food is a good way to start together with anti histamines. if it doesn't help - the best solution is a medication called Apoquel which treats allergies with great success and without side effects.

Based on the photos, it appears as though Galbi may have a bacterial skin infection. This could also be the start of what we call seborrheic dermatitis. I would use the shampoo and spray as I had previously recommended (Douxo PS Chlorhexidine combo and the Malacetic conditioning spray, both of which can be found online quite easily).
