Panting can be caused by an underlying lung disease, organ enlargement (due to infection or Cushing's disease), heart conditions, or just general pain. I recommend getting a second opinion on Tanner - this can include x-rays to rule out lung/heart conditions, a heart worm test, and bloodwork. I hope this helps and that all is well with Tanner! I am also happy to look at any diagnostic test results or answer any other questions you may have!
