My dog won't eat or drink, is sluggish, and vet found nothing.

This could be anything from a simple arthritis flare up to organ failure to cancer. For the first, some pain medication is often all that is needed while the others may require other treatments. Unfortunately, those are quite nonspecific symptoms, and could be consistent with almost any illness. If Prince isn't eating or drinking, and is vomiting, he really needs to be evaluated by a veterinarian. Your vet can determine quite a lot by a good exam, and will then be able to recommend any appropriate diagnostic tests to determine what's wrong. At the very least, your vet can help Prince feel better with supportive care to control his nausea, and give fluids to correct his dehydration. I worry especially with his young age and being such a little guy, he can become dehydrated quickly. I hope he feels better soon!

That duration of inappetance is very concerning. Did you family vet prescribe some therapy, anti nausea medication? It sounds like your kid needs to see a specialist. For a case like this an internal medicine specialist would be the best person to see. A full abdominal ultrasound with an experienced ultrasonographer (either a radiologist or internist) is likely the first step if blood work and xrays are normal. Unfortunately some pets cases are complex and some disease processes require more advanced testing then what family vets can provide. Likely your family vet has ruled out some common things but an internist will look for the uncommon things. Unfortunately decreased appetite is a very non specific symptom because in animals when they do not feel good for any reason they can stop eating. His blood sugar levels may be low as well. His veterinarian will examine him and likely recommend fecal testing. Intestinal infections are common in young puppies. Not eating or drinking can be signs of a systemic illness that is causing him to feel ill. Examples are liver disease, kidney disease, hormonal imbalances, and even cancer. Walking hunched is an indication of back pain and/or abdominal pain. He may be panting despite the normal room temperature because of this pain or discomfort. For all of these reasons, I would recommend having Marley evaluated by a veterinarian as soon as possible. They will likely recommend blood work, a urinalysis and abdominal x-rays to look for evidence of underlying disease that could make him unwilling to eat or drink. These tests may also give some insight into why he is walking hunched over and sensitive to you touching him.
