I just noticed this lump on my dogs neck. Any idea what it could be? He's about 7 and has had a terrible heart mumor since we adopted him as a puppy so I'm worried the vet will want to put him under to remove it and it'll be dangerous for him. Help!

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Discuss your concerns with Beans vet. Preanesthetic work up such as blood work and cardiac ultrasound/X-rays etc can help assess risk and develop a plan for his optimal safety in surgery.
The mass could be malignant or may also be a cyst or benign tumor. Removal and histopahtoligy is the best way to determine what it is and may be curative in the process.
