Dog ran out of Imuran. Is it safe to miss a dose until the vet opens?

Hello. I do not think you have too much to worry about because she was not on this medication for a long enough time to need a long withdrawl of the drug. You see, with steroids, after a certain amount of time it is best to discontinue them in a decreasing manner. 10 days is not a significant time to be on the medication & you did decrease the dose 50% for the last 4 days. If your vet is open tomorrow, just call to make sure they do not want you to pick up a few more pills just to finish off the weaning period, but otherwise, there will be no problems with how you gave her the pills. Hello. Do not worry. Missing a dose or two will not set Nyla back nor worsen her condition. Kidney disease & the subsequent blood pressure problems are both chronic conditions, so a few missed doses, while not ideal, will really do her no harm. Just resume the medication as soon as you can.
