Pet's info: Dog | Border Collie | Male | neutered | 7 years and 2 months old | 50 lbs
Our border collie has a small limp and yelps when jumping on something but not when coming down. His front right leg. No visible marks or swelling. he seems depressed about it. Usually always happy only 7 years old. Thank you for your help

It sounds like Chief is in a lot of pain. The fact that both hind legs seem affected could indicate something more severe like a slipped disc (which can progress to paralysis if it continues pressing into the spinal cord). I recommend to play it safe and have Chief examined today. He should also be on strict crate rest with absolutely no activity of any type. I hope he feels better quickly!
