My dog was diagnosed with Lyme disease and has been on doxycycline, after having a fever and lameness and swelling on all lower legs, the first week of antibiotics he seemed to get better, now he has days where he is okay and days he’s limping. The swelling has seemingly stayed gone with the antibiotics. The vet we brought him to is adamant that this is Lyme even though his test came back negative. Could this be something else? Should I get a second opinion?
