Every night before bed time as she's getting comfortable she starts licking her lips for no reason & then just goes to sleep. It's always only before bedtime. Is this normal? Why does she do this?

Lip licking can sometimes indicate nausea in dogs, so if that hasn't been ruled out its a possibility. Behaviorally, it can sometimes indicate your dog is feeling a little unsure of the situation. Even if she is standing tall with tail raised or ears forward, she may not still be as confident as you think she is. If she's doing the behavior just sitting at home, it may be more of a learned boredom behavior, and trying to stop it by distracting her with puzzle toys or a good bone may help.
