My dogs paws are red and irritated. He has been licking at them and I'm not sure why. What over the counter creams can I use to treat this? I have a 3 way ointment and Terramycin that I bought for a previous eye infection. Can this be helpful for his paws if it's an infection since it's an antibiotic?

Unfortunately, to make that diagnosis, your vet will need to swab his toes and make a slide to look under the microscope. They will be able to tell if bacteria or yeast is growing and then prescribe the appropriate medication. I would schedule an appointment. In the meantime, do not allow him to lick. He may need a cone to prevent getting at his toes.
