My dog is lethargic with severe stomach pain. Should I see a vet?

It sounds like Ginny definitely has some GI distress going on if she is very lethargic, vomiting, and not eating. I would schedule a vet visit to have her examined if it continues, and if she seems in severe distress, has a very painful abdomen, or looks bloated, bring her in ASAP or to a local ER clinic. Various causes, such as general GI upset, obstructions, parasites, illness, pancreatitis, etc can all cause similar symptoms to this, so an exam to find the cause is best.

The pain in her stomach could be indicated by her constant position changes, whining, and inability to stay in one position for long. These signs could be due to a severe GI illness, eating something rotten, a foreign body, or even cancer which unfortunately is always a possibility in a senior dogs. The excessively licking could be due to being nauseous, but it could be due to allergies which would cause the constant scratching as well. I would have Meatball seen by a vet immediately for a physical exam, blood tests, urinalysis, and x-rays to diagnose what is causing her symptoms so she can be treated.

If he is having abdominal pain then he really should be examined by a vet to determine he cause. He could have an infection, pancreatitis, kidney disease, liver disease, etc and your vet can run labeork and take an X-ray to help diagnose. Hope he feels better soon.

Clearly, she feels pretty awful. She will absolutely be best off if you take her to a vet right away for anti-nausea meds. This way, he/she can take X-rays and make sure Pippa doesn't have a foreign body somewhere causing a blockage in her system that would require surgery to fix. If you wait, she needs to be getting better and better, feeling more spunky, and slowing way down with the vomiting, or I'd be very concerned.

It sounds like Remy is pretty sick. He could have something in his intestines, inflammation of his pancreas, gallbladder issues or even an infection. Remy needs to be examined by a veterinarian and likely more tests be done to figure out exactly what is going on. He may need blood tests, xrays or both. Depending on what your veterinarian finds Remy may need fluids, medications or even surgery.

She may have ingested something that isn't agreeing with her GI tract. Monitor her and if the symptoms worsen, seek veterinary attention. If not, withhold food for 12-24 hours. Allow small amounts of water or unflavored PediaLyte. Resume feeding a bland diet ( boiled boneless / skinless chicken and plain white rice) in small, frequent amounts. Serve warm or mix in a teaspoon or two of baby food to stimulate the appetite. If her appetite does not return or she begins to vomit, see your veterinarian.
