Is my dog lethargic & not eating due to rabies shot after being lost?

Sometimes vaccines can cause dogs to feel a bit groggy, a bit like a person getting their inoculations. However it doesn't tend to be that pronounced. Dogs are very sensitive to new environments and stress so so wouldn't be surprised if a lot of it is down to the changes occurring. Whilst he is eating and drinking normally I wouldn't worry too much. However if he deteriorates or dies not return to his usual self in a few days it would be best to get him examined.

This is a quite generic but concerning sign. Differentials are many, from gastrointestinal diseases (infection/inflammations often dietary related) to any disease that can spread systemically (causing lethargy for example) like infection, and anything that can cause pain/discomfort. The approach must be logic, starting from offering different kind of food. A check up is needed if inappetence last for more than 24hours. I would recommend calling your veterinarian tonight and letting them know that Wolfie is not feeling great. They may prescribed him some anti-inflammatory medication, fluids or anti-nausea medication to help him feel a little better. Good luck!

You should get your dog to a vet immediately for a thorough examination as there may have been some serious damage done that is not obvious. Hopefully not and it is just the development of some muscle pain etc but at the very least the vet will be able to give some pain relief, alongside peace of mind.

She will need a thorough examination and possibly bloodwork. Starvation could certainly account for her weight loss, but so could a new underlying disease if she is an older cat. Unfortunately these symptoms are vague and could be a sign of a number of different diseases. He could have some kind of infection, organ damage, or an autoimmune disease. I think the rabies vaccine was likely unrelated especially if he was showing some symptoms prior to vaccination. I’d recommend rechecking with your vet if Hurshy still isn’t improving - they may want to check blood work or perform some other tests since he hasn’t responded to treatment.

I am so sorry this has happened to Babyboy. If he is still lethargic and not eating I would recommend taking him to the veterinarian. I urge caution when pouring water down dogs mouths as they can aspirate. I would also check his temperature to make sure he isn't too hot especially with the recent heat.
