My Pug is in pain and can't move. Is his leg out of socket?

Rafiki could have an issue with his kneecap that has caused it to pop out of the normal spot it's in. This is not uncommon in small breed dogs. Based on your description, I would be concerned that your pug has a luxating patella. This would cause him to not use the leg properly because the knee cap is sliding out of it's correct anatomical position. This is a common condition in small breed dogs. I would have your dog seen by a vet first thing tomorrow. The vet can do a lameness exam and possibly x-rays to diagnose what is causing his lameness, and can discuss treatment with you. With a patella luxation, surgery may be required to fix it.

If you think his barking and crying is a sign of pain or if you do think his back legs seem weak it would be best to take him to an emergency vet tonight.

There can be many things that could cause this, the most common would be muscle sprain or strain in the hips or back.
