My 5 year old eEnglis Bulldog has a large gross bump on her..it's located on her side not very far from her front leg

This certainly is a pretty large tumor and you should have that examined by your veterinarian. Your vet will give your dog a general exam to make sure she is in good condition and fit and then probably will take a fine needle aspirate (tissue of the tumor taken with a fine needle, and not painful) to be sent to a lab to determine whether the tumor is benign or malignant and whether it should be removed.
