Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to address your concern. If Panfilo has been barking a lot and playing lately, it is possible that he developed a hoarse bark due to overuse. Similar to humans when a person screams / yells for a while, the voice becomes hoarse. His bark should come back normally without any lasting problems. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.
