Why is my dog losing hair, scratching, and has black scaly skin?

It is possible shadow is starting to develop allergies. The most common type are flea, food and environment. However husky breed are prone to zinc deficiencies which affect their coat. If lab work shows no abnormalities, then a skin biopsy would likely be the next recommended step to try and get a diagnosis.
