What food can prevent my dog from smelling bad so soon after a bath?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Female | spayed | 11 years and 3 months old | 65 lbs

What type and brand of food should my dog be eating to prevent smelling so bad even 1 day after a bath. Our vet recommended an antibacterial shampoo which has helped immensely but I forgot to ask about if it's a food issue.

Food sensitivities can play a role in such conditions - a akin support diet such as royal canin skin care or hills derm defense can help. It is important to rule out complicating factors such as diabetes, kidney disease, mites and urinary tract infections also
