Is it safe to use a flea bath, Seresto, and Simparica on my dog?

It is ok to use Seresto along with other topical products, just not oral ones. In some pets there can be a little skin irritation, so watch out for that and notify your vet if this happens. Otherwise, you should be fine to go ahead with Seresto to see if this does the trick. I would also recommend using a flea fogger to treat your home, which can be found at your local Home Depot or Lowe's. If you still don't have good results with the Seresto collar, then I would wait at least 2 weeks and consider better products such as Simparica or Nexgard. Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Dani is super cute! I think that is just A LOT of chemicals that are not necessary. Fipronil, which Frontline, just isn't that good anymore. I see multiple pets a week that have infestations and are using Fipronil. Flea baths do nothing to prevent fleas from jumping back on by the next day. Fipronil shouldn't by used 2 days before or 2 days after bathing or the product will not work well. With all the new products out there: Seresto collar, Bravecto, Simparica and Nexgard I see not reason to put 3 different chemicals on your dog. I am sure she will be fine but almost every product comes with risks and side effects which are likely compounded by using 3 at once. Most are chemicals aimed specifically at insect biology not mammalian. I would choose one product and use that. I hope this helps and I wish you and Dani the best!

Yes, both products are safe to use together. In addition to the pesticide that was sprayed, the yard also needs to be treated. You should also vacuum daily. The vibrations attract the fleas. Then discard the vacuum bag each day so the fleas don't crawl back out. You will have to do this for a month or so as every day there will be thousands of fleas that hatch from the eggs. Make sure to also vacuum under couches, beds, etc as the fleas like to take cover when they are breeding and laying eggs.

Typically isn’t not recommended to combine two different flea and tick treatments. Because there is another month left of the Bravecto, I would wait until that’s done before putting the Seresto collar on Rissa. Best of luck.

You will need to go to the Seresto website. There may be recommendations about bathing or drying times. You may need to remove the collar for a certain amount of time. Certainly you want to avoid any potential interactions, you will need to ingredients of the shampoo handy. Best of luck.

Generally, we at Pet Coach recommend using one flea and tick medication. I would recommend only using the K9 advantix on Pistol. It kills fleas, repels fleas, kills flea egg and larvae, kills ticks, repels ticks, and kills and/or repels mosquitoes. Simparica only kills fleas and ticks. You will get everything you need for Pistol's protection with the K9 advantix. I hope this helps!

I would not use these two products consecutively. Their combined used hasn't been studied much, but it is just safe to use only one flea/tick prevention in this case.
