My dog's food has 6g fiber. Is that too much? Can I give supplements?

Yes, you are correct, it's too much calcium. As I said in your previous post, Chloe's dog food will give her all the calcium she needs and she doesn't need any extra. Too much causes medical issues. You are giving her the fish oil pill and joint supplement, that is plenty of supplements for her. You don't need to give her any more. I hope this helps :-)

If Chloe is not experiencing any health issues like skin problems, heart issues, or kidney disease then it would be unnecessary to add in additional fish oil. Pumpkin is good because it adds fiber to the diet leading to regular defecation, and when a dog has regular stools, that helps express the anal sacs. In fact, pumpkin is recommended to give to dogs when they are constipated. For her digestive health and anal sacs, pumpkin would be the best to give her, but as a treat, you can switch out to another tablespoon of veggies every now and then :-)

Metamucil crackers can also be used and for a dog Shero's size you can give 2 crackers per day. I would start with the canned pumpkin in the food and see if this works well. That is a sensible supplement protocol. A joint pill is always good, fish oil can help with skin, and Glandex is good for anal sac issues. No, they don't need probiotics and enzymes on a regular basis. Probiotics are good to give in cases of diarrhea, but on a daily basis have no value. Enzymes have no value either, everything Chloe needs will be gotten from her dog food.
