My puppy drags her bottom and tummy. Is this normal or serious?

Sometimes dogs can do this due to minimal impaction of the anal sacs and resolves on its own. I recommend that you continue to monitor Max for now. Puppies can lick at their bellies for a number of reasons, including normal behavior and occasional itches, allergies (unlikely in such a young puppy), fleas, ringworm, mange, among others. If Daisy's skin does not appear irritated and she is only licking rarely, this is likely not a cause for concern. Otherwise, make sure she is receiving a high quality flea/tick preventative regularly, such as Nexgard, Bravecto or Advantix. If the licking continues, she should be examined by her vet because excess licking can cause the development of skin infections.

For whatever reason puppies just tend to be itchier and scratch more often than adult dogs. If his skin looks 100% normal where he's been itchy it may not be anything to be concerned about. If you notice him scratching his ears, if there are red spots or hair loss on his belly, or if he seems so itchy that he isn't comfortable you may want to see your vet for an exam.

This could be a sign of intestinal worms (more common at this age) or anal gland impaction. if he has not been treated for worms yet that would be the first step to take. you can buy a dewormer for puppies over the counter in per shops.

You will need to take your dog to a veterinarian for a skin exam. Your dog could be suffering from an allergy, mites, fleas, a bacterial or fungal infection. each of these requires a different treatment, so it is important to find out what is causing the itch. Your vet will do a thorough exam and maybe a a skin scrape. He will then discuss the options with you and then prescribe medications, possibly give an injection to stop the itching.

Your pet may be crawling on his stomach to stretch his belly out, or he could be doing it to try to itchy his belly. If the skin seems irritated at all, like red or has hair loss, Mr. Brown Oreo may have itchy skin on his stomach that he is trying to relieve. If his skin is normal and he is otherwise acting normally, I would not be concerned. I hope this is helpful!

Puppies have very sensitive skin, and that can leave them prone to skim infection. I suspect that Willow has puppy pyoderma (a skin infection). You need to have her seen by a vet to have this diagnosed and treated.
