My dog's better. Do I still need to go to the vet for the next shot?

Pet's info: Dog | Pug | Female | unspayed | 4 months and 1 day old | 22 lbs

Ema has staphylococcus infection on her chin. I was at the vet and they subscribed antibiotics and some gel. Ema had first injection of antibiotics and I lubricate her chin with the gel every day. And in first few days all symptoms disappeared. Do I have to get her to the vet again for second injection of antibiotics? As vet told me to come again for injection, even Ema is fine now. I am vorried if antibiotics could negatively effect her imunity and I do not understand why to if she is fine.

It is important to follow all directions by your vet and to attend a recheck appointment in order to ensure that the condition is completely resolved and whether there is need to continue to the treatment. Many conditions will improve with antibiotics but may return quickly if the comlete course is not followed and the infection cleared completely

You definitely need a vet visit before finishing the antibiotics, since it's not looking healed up. My dog finished kennel cough antibiotics but still coughs, vet visit?

The cough can linger for a couple weeks. If he is otherwise acting normal than it may just take a little more time for the cough to resolve. If you notice any lethargy, anorexia, difficulty breathing, or fever than I he should definitely be rechecked.

Although a picture would be essential to determine clinical development, if you think there is no improvement at all, I would recommend to have it checked again immediately. Certain type of corneal ulcers can actually start melting and get worse very rapidly. Different type of antibiotics or treatment may be needed. Should my dog get a follow-up urine test after UTI antibiotics?

It would be a good idea to do another urinalysis to verify that the treatment worked and there are no more bacteria present in the urine. So I would highly recommend another urinatlysis in order to make sure Maya does not need more antibiotics to entirely eliminate the infection.

My dog is still sick after antibiotics. Should I take him to the vet?

This a very concerning fever your dog had. 15 days of antibiotics should have cleared this upper respiratory infection up. Obviously it has not , so you need to take Bruiser back to the vet for a recheck and more, possibly different type of antibiotics. He may have a foreign body in his upper airways, a tumor, possible sinus infection (bacterial or fungal). Unfortunately distemper also has similar signs (this would be concerning if your dog is not up to date on your vaccinations). I suggest you make an appointment with your vet.
