My dog ate wood days ago and still hasn't passed it. Should I worry?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | unneutered | 4 months and 24 days old | 31 lbs

my dog ate what we think whas a peice of wood thursday. he still has not passed it and has been on a soft diet. i consulted my vet thursday. should i be concernd that he hasnt passed it yet. he has had other bowl movements. he is a border aussie

In most situations I think wood would probably be digested and you might not even be able to identify it in the stool. It can also take 5 days or more for something to pass through the gastrointestinal tract. As long as Finn is not vomiting and is eating normally I wouldn't be concerned.
