My German Shepherd ate my teeth guard. What symptoms to watch for?

If you see a loss of appetite, him chewing on only one side of mouth or refusing to eat hard food, vomiting, diarrhea, blood in his poop, or lethargy, have him seen by a vet immediately. I'd just keep an eye on Max for now. If you see blood in his stool or other signs such as vomiting, anorexia, and lethargy, then I would be worried and have him seen by a vet. Otherwise, he should be fine.

If you are worried she ingested an object, like a sock or shoe then you would watch for signs of gastrointestinal upset such as vomiting, anorexia, abdominal pain, lethargy, or straining to defecate. If you are worried about a toxin ingestion these signs can vary widely and can include GI upset, rapid breathing or heart rate, excessive drooling, trembling, seizures, drunken appearance/gait, dilated pupils, pale gums, lethargy. If any of these signs occur seek veterinary care right away.

I would only worry if you see symptoms of a possible obstruction, which includes: excessive vomiting, lack of appetite, lethargy and few feces. If seen then its best to take him to your vet for a proper exam and testing to determine if the gloves are still inside. Hopefuly he continues to do well as it seems he has done so far. The issue with garlic cheese in a wrapper is twofold; garlic can be toxic to dogs, and the wrapper can cause an intestinal obstruction. I would keep a close eye on Gustav (and his stool! for the next couple of days for any vomiting, diarrhea, inappetence, lethargy, or any other signs that he is feeling ill. If these are seen, I would recommend he be evaluated by his regular veterinarian right away. If there was a large amount of garlic in the cheese, I would also recommend touching base with animal poison control to see if he needs any treatment for a possible toxicity. Good luck!

If you see any of these symptoms in the next 24-48hrs, you should take Rayne to your local vets as an emergency. However, if she chewed the plastic into small pieces, most likely she will pass it with her stools and she will not show any worrying symptoms at all.

Watch for vomiting, excessive drooling, blood coming from her mouth, diarrhea, blood in her poop, lethargy, or a loss of appetite. If you see any of those signs, Abby will have to see a vet. Vets will see animals for medical emergencies during this time.
