My puppy ate a cherry cheese danish. Should I take her to the vet?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Female | unspayed | 5 months and 28 days old | 50 lbs

My puppy ate an entire cherry cheese danish, will it pass normally with some diarrhea, or should I take her to the vet to have her treated?

If the Danish contained only cherries I think Sammie will be fine, if there were raisins though she should see the vet straight away to have sickness induced and medical treatment. As you said, it might cause diarrhoea or could cause pancreas inflammation.Watch out for any vomiting or lose feaces and changes in her demeanour. I have seen young Labradors eat far worse and be absolutely fine, but always best to monitor as they are all different !
