My dog ate a Caprisun box. Should I worry about plastic/cardboard?

Cardboard is pretty digestible and I wouldn't be concerned about Ava ingesting a piece that size. I think it should be fine to feed her dinner. You may or may not be able to recognize it in her stool, but again I think it's extremely unlikely that a small amount of cardboard would cause any problem.

A small amount of ketchup shouldn't harm her at all :) If she consumed the entire packet, including the packaging, there is a small chance that this could cause an intestinal obstruction but usually things like this pass through with no problems. As long as she is eating and drinking, acting normal, and not vomiting, I wouldn't worry. The packet will probably pass through her system and be passed in her stool within the next 2-3 days.

It depends on the size of the cap ingested. The biggest concern would be it getting stuck in the intestinal tract which would require surgery to get out. It may be better to take Jax in to induce vomiting. If he ingested it in the past 1 hour then there is a good chance he could vomit it back out. A veterinarian can give a injection that works well to induce vomiting.

Hello. I am so sorry that Aura bit you, I guess he really wanted the sauce packet. It the packet was the size of the ones you get at fast food places, then it should pass with no problems, rubber band & all. Just watch for any lethargy, vomiting or inappetence. I am sorry to hear about Enzo! If the card is paper it should not cause any problems. If the card is plastic, then in many cases they will pass small amounts of plastic that have been chewed with no problem, but it is best to observe Enzo for several days for signs of a blockage of the intestinal tract such as vomiting, decreased appetite, abdominal pain, lethargy, or straining to have a bowel movement. You can try feeding some whole grain bread that is high in fiber to try to help things pass along. If he does develop any of these symptoms then seek veterinary care. Best of luck to you and Enzo!

It will either pass through or it could potential get stuck and cause an obstruction. If she chewed it in pieces than it will likely pass through without getting stuck. It may cause some inflammation in her intestines and you may notice some diarrhea. If she starts vomitng, becomes lethargic, or stops eating than she needs to be seen right away.

The wrapper itself will probably pass in within 24-48 hours. You will have to check the stool until it comes out. Monitor for signs of GI upset such as vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite or abdominal pain.
