Arthritis a common problem in larger breed dogs as they age. There are several combinations of things to try to help
You can add cosequin, a glucosamine and chindoetin supplement to help the joints. This can be purchased online or at any pet store. Adding omega 3 fatty acids and fish oils also have benefits for joints which you can purchase over the counter
If he is overweight then a diet is needed to take some weight iff the joints
You can consult your vet for further prescription medications to add such as NSAIDs, gabapentin, laser therapy treatments or Adequan injections. All may not be needed but it is trial and error to keep him moving well and comfortable
