This is likely very safe to give Buddy but I would call your vet that knows Buddy’s history and to ensure you give the correct dose. Another option is Benadryl if you haven’t tried that. I have attached an article below for more information on Benadryl and dosing information. I hope this helps!

The appropriate dosing frequency depends on the specific type of antihistamine that was given. For example diphenhydramine is given 2-3 times daily while cetirizine is only given once daily. You could repost your question with a picture of the box of the antihistamine and we might be able to help a bit more. You may also want to have Lola examined by a vet - sometimes corticosteroids are also necessary to treat an allergic reaction.
