My English bulldog is aggressive and anxious. How can I help him?

My advice is to seek help from a professional before the issues become established and get too difficult to tackle. This is a very dangerous situation and depending on the trigger for the aggresion neutering may or may not help. I would not recommend this without an individual visit from a certified behaviorist to explore the triggers and patterns of behavior. Neutering him would be recommended however, at his age, it may or may not help. I suggest you work with a professional, in-home dog trainer. You need to find a way to actually correct the underlying reason for him trying to attack the smaller dog. You can also put a basket muzzle on him so that if he attacks the smaller dog he can't hurt him. This is not fixing the problem but you could use it as an adjunct to prevent injury. Hello, sorry to hear about Bentley. Its unusual for ants to be around the area, I would actually be more concerned that what you are seeing in the area are fleas. They may look similar to ants. Fleas can indeed causes severe anxiety and itchiness which can also alter Bentley's attitude and temperament. Make sure that Bentley has adequate monthly flea control and see if this resolves his issues.
