With both Cocker Spaniels and Poodles in the mix, Cockapoos can be prone to developing a variety of conditions, including ear infections, luxating patellas (loose kneecaps), obesity, eye conditions (progressive retinal atrophy, glaucoma, etc.), among others. Unfortunately, there is no surefire way to prevent any of these conditions. The best thing you can do is stay on top of routine veterinary care so that your vet can determine if Latte has developed any new changes. At home, make sure that she is eating, drinking and acting normally, and regularly look in her ears, eyes, mouth, feet, and skin to determine if anything has changed. Regular preventative care, including vaccines, deworming treatments, flea and tick prevention, and heartworm prevention are also crucial to her overall wellbeing. I hope this helps!
