Brown dirt balls on my dog's nipples and genitals. What's wrong?

I think you are asking about the areas on the prepuce? If they are flea dirt you should be able to wipe them off easily. If they wipe off and the debris starts to make a wet paper towel turn reddish then likely flea dirt. If you can wipe them off but they do not discolor the white paper towel then likely just dirt/superficial skin secretions. If you can not wipe them off then likely just skin discoration. The brown spots look a bit like flea dirt. If Nala isn’t already in a good-quality monthly flea preventative, then fleas are probably the cause. The red spots look like the start of a pyoderma. you can try a medicated shampoo like the one I can link below, but if it isn’t showing signs of improvement in a week or so, she should get checked out by a vet. They can get small Blake heads and debris in the follicles just like we do. If it does not bother him then pay extra attention to keep it clean. You can wipe it daily with soap and water or clean it with clearsil wipes

Hello. Definitely not from fleas. These are probably comedomes, or essentially black heads from some chronic irritation. It is nothing to really worry about, but you can clean the area a couple of times daily with an antibacterial skin cleanser like Hibicles ( available at all pharmacies ). This residue can be related to excess oil secretions from irritation, allergies or a yeast infection. It can also be a combination of saliva and environmental debris. I recommend to keep the areas clean and to have Hazel examined by the veterinarian to determine if this is pathological or not. I hope this helps.

Frequent licking generally indicates irritation or infection. Licking around the genital area can also indicate a urinary tract infection. I suspect the discoloring of her skin is related to the licking although some pet's skin will darken as they mature. I would recommend to make an appointment with her vet to have her skin examined and her urine tested to make sure everything is normal. At home, you can wash the areas daily with an antibacterial soap and rinse it well - be careful not put soap in her vulva (vagina). This will help to clean off the skin. There can be many causes of skin irritation or infection including bacterial infections, environmental allergies, food allergies and flea allergies.
