Is it okay to take my 8-week-old puppy on an RV camping trip?

In my opinion it is not a very good idea. The main reason is that your puppy has not been vaccinated yet and at the age of 8-10weeks puppies become susceptible for many infections (including parvovirus). Viruses, such as parvovirus, can be passed on puppies even without direct contact with infected dogs. The virus can be transmitted for example via schoes dirty in soil, cloths, could be picked up in carparks etc.

1)He can have his puppy shots before the trip. The vaccinations actually activate the immune system (this is what vaccinations do). 2)You can stay at a pet friendly hotel, however I would leaved him in a crate so he cannot run around and sniff possible "left-behinds" from other dogs. It would bot be advisable to let him sleep out in the cold at this age. While you are on the trip do not let other people pet him or touch him. Do not let him get in contact with dogs other than your own vaccinated dogs. He should be alright then.

I would not recommend taking your puppy with you. Even if you carry her the whole time people will still approach you and want to pet her/come into contact with her. I think this is a high risk of exposure to illness. She is not fully vaccinated so taking her will be a risk. I hope that helps

Yes you can take Awie traveling with you, but do not allow her any contact with any other dogs and when you take her to potty, do not take her places where dogs frequently. She won't be fully vaccinated, and you need to keep her away from places where dogs go to prevent her from contracting deadly diseases such as parvovirus and distemper.

Yes, as long as he wil not be exposed to other dogs. The only concern about puppies traveling after vaccines is the risk for vaccine reactions. Most vaccine reactions happen within hours of the vaccine. So if after 2 days, he is not showing any symptoms of reaction (extreme lethardy, vomiting, diarrhea, swelling, hives, difficulty breathing), he will likely be fine.

Hello. A puppy should be vaccinated once a month until 16 weeks of age. Until then, disease susceptibility is possible. For the most part, she should be OK to travel, but if you do stop for potty breaks, make sure Luna does not pick up anything on the ground & wipe down her feet with a damp paper towel before getting back in the car. Try to continue her routine at your destination as best as possible, but a relatively short trip like this should not ruin any house training lessons Luna has learned so far.
