My 15-year-old Persian cat is sneezing constantly. What's wrong?

I would have Pepsi checked out by a vet. Sneezing could be caused by allergies, dry air, mild upper respiratory infection, and even polyps in the oral or nasal cavity. I vet can do a thorough examination and discuss all the environmental factors and hopefully help the sneezing to go away. There is no way to convince a cat to sleep in a specific place other than completely eliminating her access to the under the bed area. Sneezing can have many causes, including bacterial or viral upper respiratory infection, something getting caught in the nose, allergies, nasopharyngeal polyp, etc. I would recommend having Snowy checked out by the vet to see what may be the case.

The most common cause of sneezing and red eyes in cats is actually a viral upper respiratory infection. At this age an upper respiratory infection is less likely, unless she has not been vaccinated in the past few years. i would recommend a vet visit ASAP, it could be something else such as nasal polyps for example.

Many upper respiratory infections in cats are caused by viruses which do not respond to antibiotics. Antibiotics are often prescribed to treat secondary bacterial infections. However, sneezing can be a symptom with many underlying causes, such as allergies, viral or bacterial infections, tumors or polyps in the nasal passage, or even dust or other irritants if the cat is exploring where these types of irritants are common (attics, basements, around areas of construction, etc.) If your cat is still sneezing after treatment with antibiotics, a follow up visit to your veterinarian is worthwhile to determine if antibiotics need to be continued or other treatments given.
