My senior cat has diarrhea and is throwing up. What should I do?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 15 years and 8 months old | 11 lbs

My cat has diahorra, sickness fluid leakage from bum over last 3 days, not constantly though. She is age 16. Has seen a very young vet. Vet just tried a worm spot plus anti sickness injection. But I feel more is going on with my cat. Any ideas please. Thankyou. Miss Cranmer.

It's either due to an infection that they caught from each other or because of something all of them ingested (could be their food). if the vomiting is severe you need to take them to the vet to get it treated.

Unfortunately all of those symptoms are vague, general symptoms that could be part of a number of things including infections, toxicities, illnesses, etc. It would be best to bring all affected animals to your vet ASAP so they can be examined, treated, and the cause found.

You can't really do anything at home without knowing what is causing the vomiting and diarrhea although it is likely to be either an infection or something in the food as they are all exposed to it. i would recommend trying to make a sooner apointment, this may be more urgent than it seems.
