Can Ridx residue from car carpet get on shoes and track near pets?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 7 years and 9 months old | 7 lbs

Last question on this subject I swear. But say I where to wear my shoes again, or a different pair. My question is... After I stepped into spilled Ridx granules that someone spilled all over a floor in the store after busting open a box at a store, and I stepped into puddle after stepping into that stuff then got into my car, can any residue get back onto the bottoms of my shoes from the car interior? Like the floors carpet or whatever, and cause me to track it around all over again? ...

As long as you have cleaned your shoes, it will be fine to wear them in the house and Mirz will be fine. I do think you are worrying a little too much about this as I know you have posted multiple times about this topic, but if you really want to be safe, just vacuum and clean your car before driving it again. I hope this finally sets your mind at ease :-)

Given that you have already washed them, it should be fine. Leaving them on the stairs to dry is fine as well since Mirz doesn't have access to the stairs. In addition, since you carried the shoes inside after you washed them, there isn't a worry about anything getting spread in the house. Just put them back on outside the next time you wear them. It sounds like you have taken the appropriate precautions and it should be just fine. Symptoms of cleaner ingestion may include: excessive drooling, vomiting, and/or a decrease in appetite. If any of this occurs for Mirz, please seek veterinary care. But once again, I do not think you have much to be concerned about after all you have done.

Is water enough to clean shoes after stepping in Rid-x granules?

Yes, the hose water should be fine but if you want to clean them again, use the hose water and soap. You can get a brush from the grocery store to scrub the bottom of your shoes to be safe. As long as you have thoroughly cleaned your shoes, it should be fine.

Are rhododendron/azalea on my shoes toxic if my cat rubs them?

I don't think you need to worry about this at all. The cat has to actually ingest the plant itself for it to be toxic. You just stepping on the plant should not transfer anything toxic. It is up to you though how you want to handle this. If you want to be safe then yes, rinsing your shoes off thoroughly with a hose and leaving them out of reach of the cats is a good idea.

How can I clean carpets safely for cats without using harsh chemicals?

As long as you thoroughly rinse the rugs after they are washed, there shouldn't be a problem with any residue from the cleaner. If you can find a soap/shampoo called Orvus in your area, or order it online, that should be a safe, effective cleaner. I have used it myself to bathe horses, so it shouldn't be a problem using it to clean rugs for your cats to lie on.

My cat walked on wet carpet cleaner. Is it toxic? Should I bathe her?

It can be irritating to the skin and irritating to the stomach if a lot is ingested, but wouldn't be toxic beyond that. You can just rinse the areas that had contact with the cleaner with normal water. Flush the area for a minute and continue to keep her off of the carpet until it dries and she should be fine.
